Is Windows Vista worth having on my pc? The answer really depends on two things: your hardware and pc purpose. In this article, I will try to remedy most of my readers with my take on this subject by using the automobile metaphor.<br /><br />First, your hardware specs need to be good,actually extremely good for Vista. A pc running no less than 2 gig with a Intel T7500 dual processor should run most of Windows Vista new features like its built in search. If you want to run the Aero display you'll need discrete graphics with at least 128 MB, you can pick up a new graphics card online at <a href="http://www.kilgorecomputers.com/">www.kilgorecomputers.com</a> which I definitely recommend getting if you don't , your Vista experience will suffer greatly.It would be like putting a hot rod motor in a 1938 ford and trying to drive it down a dirt road. Not a good experience.<br /><br />Second, how will you be using your pc? Windows Vista comes in four different versions: Basic, Premium, Business and Ultimate. For most pc users the only choice is Premium. Vista Basic is too simple, Business is well just business, and Ultimate right now is way too much for the average user.<br /><br />Something else to remember, in a couple of more years, the powers that be at Microsoft will quit supporting Windows XP including service pack 3 and Vista will be the only way to go unless you have the time and patience to try one of the many Linux versions available.
